Ray Demers, Assoc. AIA

Ray Demers, Assoc. AIA is Senior Director of National Programs for Enterprise Community Partners where he works on equitable electrification efforts in affordable housing; the award-winning Affordable Housing Design Leadership Institute (AHDLI); and is conducting research into utilization of Housing Choice Vouchers. He co-led the technical development two iterations (2015; 2020) of the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria, the nation’s only national green building program crafted exclusively for affordable housing. Recently, he led the Rose Fellowship program through 2022.

Ray has served in volunteer leadership roles, including: the 2022 chair of the AIA Housing and Community Development Knowledge Community and the 2021 co-chair of the Housing Committee with the Boston Society for Architecture.

Prior to joining Enterprise, Ray worked at architectural firms and contractors in Philadelphia and New England. He holds an M. Arch from the University of Pennsylvania.
